ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Lindsey Gerner was born in the city of Roanoke Virginia. She was raised with her three siblings by their parents on the magical and beautiful Smith Mount Lake, Virginia. At a young age Lindsey began developing her love for art. At four years old her watercolors and illustrated books were her favorite creations. By age seven, she never lost a coloring contest. A persuasive high school arts teacher told to pursue her art and so she did, earning a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts with honors from Virginia Commonwealth University.
During her college years she mentored under the top illustrators in the industry, Mark English, John English, George Pratt, Robert Meganck, Anita Kuntz, and Sterling Hundley to name a few. She studied abroad at the Florenzo de Medici in Italy and attended the Illustration Academy. She won numerous awards and an international publication in the 3x3 Magazine, named her best student illustrator.
Following her graduation from VCU, Lindsey immersed herself in the art scene in Charlottesville, Virginia, where she became a renting co-op member at the McGuffey Art Center.
She had many art openings and sell out shows, and her paintings are now exhibited in numerous celebrities’ private collections. The late, Lyn Warren of Les Juex Du Monde has represented her. Lyn was well known for her interest and exhibition of works from artists such as Picasso.
In 2018, Lindsey decided she wanted to interact directly with her clients, and exhibit and sell her art online.  She created MyMark Digital Media. Now her goal is to spread her love and appreciation for the arts through painting, teaching classes, and mentoring other artists. She wants to change the world of art. Lindsey believes true artists are true to themselves and their visions. “Artists may get lost in a world of fear and rejections; but we stay true to the vision that wants to reveal itself. Visual art has the power to shift destructive beliefs with a glance.”
